As it stands as of 2017, the traditional estate agencies up north continues to have the upper hand when it comes to success, and the claim comes from the Solicitors Property Centre of Scotland. Traditional agencies outperform every other model - including digital.
The claim arises following the recent analysis by City consultancy Jefferies, asserting that Purplebricks sold under 52% of its properties within ten months.
SPC Scotland says their curiosity was sparked regarding what percentage of marketed Scottish properties actually sold between 2016-2017. This spurned them to conduct their own survey of the platform, and find the surprising results: starting with 94% of properties successfully selling in 2016, and the number dropping to 84% in 2017.
