UK: New voice lead tech looks to reverse negative perceptions of UK estate agents

New ‘voice lead’ tech aims to address the UK’s frustrations with estate agents who don’t call back to deliver a better customer experience and more relevant leads for agents.

Over 80%[1] of property hunters across the UK have never had a completely positive estate agent experience, with nearly three in 10 (28%)[2] admitting they don’t get a reply or call back when enquiring about properties. Research from new ‘voice lead’ platform Triplerr has revealed a lack of consumer confidence in agents and portals, with a fifth (20%) admitting they “don’t trust” agents and think portals are “frustrating” and a “waste of time”.

Already launched and active in Dubai and New York, Triplerr aims to help support UK estate agents in their quest to fill properties by providing a free-to-list consumer-facing property portal (TheMove.com) backed up by a remote fleet of ‘super agents’ that call and qualify every single enquiry made within five minutes. This time frame of 300 seconds has been dubbed as being the ‘golden window’ and has been proven to boost the chance of converting leads into sales[3]. Voice recordings of each call are then available for the relevant agents to listen to and follow up with or passed on to others with perfectly matched properties so that each enquiry is fulfilled as best as possible.

In the wake of its London launch, the company has started a Seedrs crowdfunding campaign to raise fresh capital which will take ‘gig power’ to the rest of the UK’s estate agency market – a model which has worked well for several industries, from Uber which landed in the UK in 2012, to Deliveroo in 2013. The business counts Ben Elliott of Quintessentially and Baroness Kate Rock on its board, among other high-profile investors.

Sam Singh, Founder and Chief Executive of Triplerr stated, “Having proven the Triplerr technology works in New York and Dubai we are now incredibly excited to bring it to the UK market. The ‘voice lead’ concept we’ve invented more than doubles the amount of information gathered by online property search portals, to help agents follow up with the customers they’re most able to help with their search. Our research shows that nearly half (44%) of property hunters in the UK6 would rather speak to a person about their house hunt and so our tech will help agents deliver a better quality of service for customers and generate more revenue themselves.”

Triplerr receives online enquiries from property seekers through one of its many landing pages, social media campaigns or through its ‘Share and Earn’ referral program.

One of its ‘super agents’ calls the property seeker and instantly qualifies them by asking a series of questions about their property requirements.

This qualification call is recorded, and the information contained in it is matched by a proprietary algorithm to agents with properties that match the search criteria.

Matched agents receive an alert on their Triplerr app and they can listen, review and choose whether to purchase the voice lead. As soon as they purchase the lead, they are connected to the customer instantly.

Baroness Kate Rock M.P., Board Director at Triplerr, said, “The property sector is changing fast with ever-evolving technology, enabling it to diversify and grow. Triplerr is a forward thinking and dynamic business and I am pleased to be involved in this exciting time in its development”.
