The UK’s Purplebricks launches new TV and social media advertisements

Purplebricks is launching new TV and social media advertisements during the Holidays, again.

One 40 second advertisement is using Mr. Wiggles - a large glove puppet - showing a ventriloquist at a children's party. He gets angry when he recalls paying an estate agent commission instead of going with Purplebricks and their flat fee.

The second advertisement showcases an angry father of the bride, giving a speech at the wedding, accusing his new son-in-law of lying about Purplebricks being "just online." He proclaims that the firm is "a proper estate agency with real people" but they don't charge commission.

Like Purplebricks ads in the past, these two new ones will feature 'commissary.' Even on-screen captions covering some of Purplebricks controversies from the last year will be present in the advertisements, says Advertising Standards Authority.

Some of these on-screen captions include references to viewing services costing extra; the flat fee is payable regardless of pay; and that the savings made by working with Purplebricks is only compared to a national high street agency commission of 1.5%.

Both ads were trialed on Twitter over the Holiday season and can be seen on Purplebricks' YouTube channel.
