Scottish property listing site s1homes has upgraded its mobile app so users can now search for properties to buy, in addition to rentals.

Building upon the success and positive feedback of their rental-only app, s1homes have upgraded their mobile app to include property for sale which allows users to search for over 30,000 properties - rental and sales combined.

The app features a number of novel innovations and improvements for homeseekers such as a new layout, full screen images with zoom functionality and a Street View option included on every property.

Martin Devlin, s1homes' head of sales, said the app gives the company the opportunity to really compete in the online real estate space.

“This launch strengthens our clients’ position in the Scottish property market, since the new app will give them even more access to potential tenants and buyers,” he said.

S1's marketing director Wendy Pauley said the decision to release the new app directly after Christmas was a strategic one.

“Our rental app has become a key tool when searching rental properties in Scotland, that’s why we wanted to offer properties for sale too," Pauley said.

"It’s launched just at the right time as the number of homeseekers start to increase from Boxing Day.”
