One-in-four people visiting are searching for a property to buy as an investment, with demand highest in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, according to a company press release.

The new search experience is a key part of the company’s plans to grow the reach of investment grade commercial property to high net-worth investors in Australia and offshore.

Property seekers can now find accurate information on yield, capital growth, and occupancy and tenancy rates so they can make better informed choices when searching for investment properties.

Joseph Lyons, REA Group’s Executive General Manager – Commercial & Developer, commented: “Over the last couple of years we’ve seen an increase in the number of visitors coming to who have identified themselves as an investor.

“Investors are hungry for more transparency in the market, and we’re excited to offer a tool that provides them with relevant information to make educated and informed decisions about commercial property.”

Invest was trialled on in beta mode in August 2017 and has already attracted more than 18,800 page views from keen investors in Australia, United States, India and the United Kingdom.
