Low-cost real estate agency model Purplebricks is said to be expanding at a faster rate than it did when it initially launched in the UK, according to its Australian CEO Ryan Dinsdale.
The business, which charges a flat fee to people trying to sell their home, is opening an office in Perth this week and its website in Australia has so far received 435 sales within its first six months of operation, according to the Australian Financial Review.
In addition to hundreds of sales within its launch period, the company now has over 800 properties which are either for sale or have been sold since the company set up the business in this country.
Ahead of Purplebricks' Perth launch – which will see the company add to its presence in Melbourne, South East Queensland, Sydney and the Central Coast – its Australian CEO Ryan Dinsdale spoke with AFR.
"We're progressing very well and are pleased with the rate of expansion, which is ahead of our expectations," Mr Dinsdale said.
"The business is growing faster than our previous regional expansions in the UK. Within six months, we've become a national business in Australia."
