PopulStay, a Singaporean blockchain B&B startup, raises seed funding

This Singaporean booking and property management platform for the home-sharing industry, PopulStay, has recently raised a $2.25 million seed investment from investors like Bitmain, Handsome Capital, Sharp Eye Capital, and Jove Capital.

PopulStay describes itself as a blockchain B&B startup. It offers a blockchain-based smart lock, cuts out the middlemen allowing hosts and users to communicate directly and uses smart contracts for all payments.

It offers its services in Tokyo, Singapore, London, New York, Shanghai and Paris, according to its website.

The proceeds from the latest financing will be used for team expansion and product development, PopulStay founder and CEO Walter Wang said.
