Many real estate listings can be misleading, and this has recently been quite the problem in the Lagos area. Luckily a new portal, LandHive, has developed tools to stop shady land in its tracks.
Efosa Uwoghiren and Timothy Mutfwang, the founders of LandHive, have made it their goal to process each listing on the site and check for any discrepancies on the listings.
How do they do it? It's quite simple: “To reduce fraud, we request videos of the property in question,” said Uwoghiren.
Users can upload their listings for free, but only after they meet these guidelines. Property portals in Lagos will now have to reach this site's purity, or risk losing confidence.
