Indian real estate startup Propstack backed in new funding round

Private equity and hedge fund professionals have contributed to Propstack, a real estate startup, in a new round of funding. Propstack has said that the investors include Kotak Investment Advisors managing director S Sriniwasan, KKR director Ashish Khandelia, Kotak Mahindra Bank's president-consumer banking Shanti Ekambaram, and US-based Rohatyn Group's managing director TS Sivashankar.

It's currently unknown how much was contributed, and each investor contributed personally, not through a group or company. Propstack is focused on an online service model, focused on training, analytics, and stacking to push technology forward.

“Data and technology are extremely critical to commercial real estate in particular and real estate in general,” said S Sriniwasan, one of the funders.

Since its last funding round in 2015, Propstack has expanded across eight large cities, firmly planting itself on the map. It's currently unknown where the company is headed, but with this new funding, it will most likely spread again.
