In a recent statement, iMyanmarHouse.com’s Managing Director, Nay Min Thu, announced that the country’s No.1 property website has revamped their website, further strengthening its position as Myanmar’s favourite website for property buyers, sellers, renters, developers and real estate agents.
Year-to-date results have once again revealed that the portal has emerged as the clear leader in the industry ahead of its competitors.
Nay Min Thu added that iMyanmarHouse.com has continued to strengthen its position in the market and attributed the success to the company’s relentless focus on product innovation; providing property buyers with a trusted source of available property listings, and property sellers with access to the largest audience in Myanmar.
He also attributed the success of the company to Malaysian based investment firm, Frontier Digital Ventures, who has been instrumental in accelerating the growth of the company via its leadership.
Shaun Di Gregorio, Co-Founder & CEO of Frontier Digital Ventures said, “We are excited about the progress that iMyanmarHouse.com has made. iMyanmarHouse.com has accelerated its market leadership as evidenced by the growth in the number of visits year on year. We are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for iMyanmarHouse.com and we are looking forward to their continued success as the unrivaled leader in the market.”
iMyanmarHouse.com has experienced rapid growth in key metrics over the last 12 months. In a year-to-date comparison, October 2016 to October 2017, results from Similarweb.com revealed that there was a significant increase in the number of visits to the website from just over 307,000 visits to nearly 500,000 visits, an increase of over 62%.
Aside from that, Nay Min Thu also added that in an independent survey, conducted amongst advertisers, it was revealed that iMyanmmarHouse.com was the clear favourite amongst property buyers and advertisers in Myanmar.
“The independent survey involved monitoring identical listings in different price brackets being uploaded to iMyanmarhouse.com and two of its competitors. Leads were then measured over the course of 1 month. The results revealed that on average iMyanmarHouse.com generated 15 leads for every 1 that the nearest competitor generated in the mid-lower end price ranges while at the higher end, we generated an average of 18 times more leads then the nearest competitor. This is a clear indication that we continue to deliver content and data that property buyers and investors find beneficial in helping them make an informed decision. This ultimately drives more leads to our advertisers which is the most critical factor in our success,” shared Nay Min Thu.
He added that it was worth noting that none of the listings were featured or upgraded on any of the portals, which would have skewed the results unfairly.
“The results are certainly a testament that the company is on the right trajectory growth and it further cements our leadership position in Myanmar. With these strong results, we have significantly widened the gap between ourselves and our competitors in the single most important metric – the number of leads we generate for customers,” said Nay Min Thu.
The Undisputed Leader in Myanmar
The year-to-date results also revealed the leading portal achieved astounding success in the number of visitors, reaching nearly 500,000. This growth is attributed to the company’s aggressive marketing efforts to increase traffic to the site via advertising, online marketing, and strategic partnerships. When compared to its competitors, a search on Similarweb.com will reveal that IMyanmarhouse.com had more than 3.2 times the visits of its nearest competitor in October 2017.
The leading portal has also further established itself as the trusted voice in providing consumers and customers with the most comprehensive and up-to-date information on the property market.
Strong Focus on Being Mobile
iMyanmarHouse.com continues to deliver innovative products that meet and exceeds expectations. In line with this, the company made significant improvements to enhance user experience on the new version of the website.
“With a population of 54.6 million and a large percentage of those online being mobile users, it is important that we ensure that we are providing property buyers with a platform to search for properties in the most convenient way. We are the clear market leaders and our strong focus on innovation on mobile continues to set the benchmark in the industry,” said Nay Min Thu.
He added that the upgraded mobile site features a clean-cut user interface, was specifically designed to facilitate easier navigation, faster load time, predictive text and a more streamlined browsing experience. Above 90% of all iMyanmarhouse.com’s traffic actually comes from a mobile device.
“What is often forgotten when platforms in emerging markets such as Myanmar is that the majority of users who are coming online are in fact coming online for the first time on a mobile device. We are so thrilled to be able to offer property buyers, investors and property seekers a superior platform to search for their dream home or next property investment,” said Nay Min Thu.
