ARLA Propertymark teams with PropTech firm to help agents remain compliant

ARLA Propertymark, one of the UK's foremost professional bodies for letting agents has rolled out a new database to assist its agent members keep abreast of compliance issues in the lettings sector.

The service is run with technology platform GetRentr and offers ARLA members the latest information on new licensing schemes coming into force in the next month; those which are ending this month; and those which local authorities are consulting on and will come into effect in the near future.

Members will also be able to check the status of licensing schemes in their local area, so they can understand which ones they need for themselves and their landlord clients.

“There are hundreds of laws with which letting agents and landlords need to comply, and new licensing schemes are being introduced on an almost weekly basis, so it can be difficult to keep up,” says David Cox, ARLA’s chief executive.
