India’s CommonFloor.com has launched its new mobile app, CommonFloor Property India, for Android. The app helps users search and find desired properties for buying or renting and offers unique features like ‘map based search’ and ‘augmented search’.
The new app brings many useful features available on the website to mobiles and links them with GPS to make the entire property search experience hassle free and less time consuming. The app utilizes GPS to offer unique features like ‘map based search’ and ‘augmented reality view’. Using‘ map based search’, users can identify properties around their current location. This feature enables users to identify the exact location of a property with respect to nearby surroundings like parks, their office or their children’s school. Users can also move the map to identify other nearby properties with reference to a desired school or work place or any other landmark.
Using ‘augmented view’, a user can point his phone in any direction and the app will automatically detect available properties in that direction in a specified kilometer range. This is highly beneficial when a user is out on the street searching for relevant properties in the area. Augmented view enables him to easily identify the available properties and filter them according to his needs on his phone itself. He can then directly contact the owners/ dealers who have posted the listing as well as gather details like size, cost etc. through the app itself.
To make property search easier, the app offers the property seeker a multitude of options in order to filter and identify the right property. A user can filter properties and projects on the basis of buying / renting, city, location within the city, type of property (apartment / villa / independent house / row house / plot), number of rooms, budget as well as size in sq. ft. All these filters, applied in conjunction with each other or independently, help property seekers identify the properties most suitable for them.
After narrowing down on relevant properties, a user can find out the details about each property, right down to aspects like amenities available, approvals issued by local authorities, banks that will issue loans for purchase and floor plans. The app also enables users to identify the distance of a property from nearest necessities like school / hospital / mall / airport / railway station and restaurants.
Users can also ‘shortlist’ and save their favorite properties within the app itself as well ‘share’ details about the same with their friends through e-mail. The app offers ‘directions’ to enable users to reach the selected property without any hassle. In case of specific requests, users can set alerts for property updates as well as post their requirements. Those who wish to sell property can publish the details of their property easily through the app. Soon, the CommonFloor Real Estate app will be available on other mobile platforms including IPhone/IPad.
Mr. Lalit Mangal, Co-founder and Head – Technology, CommonFloor.com said, “We have kept our style of minimal features yet great user experience. Our app extends most of our features from the website, and a few mobile-only offerings – like the Augmented reality property search and GPS enabled map search. We are quite positive on this app leaving users happier and satisfied.”.
