In June of this year Property Portal Watch reported on the official go-ahead of the merger between Zoopla and the Digital Property Group. The transaction was announced in October, 2011 and in April, 2012 the companies received the “OK” from the Office of Fair Trading.

Today the final integration of all the brands - Zoopla.co.ukFindaproperty.com and PrimeLocation.com - was officially announced. The single technology platform, product of the merger, is designed to deliver more features and services to its users and advertising members.

Hot on the heels of reporting record traffic to its websites and record enquiries to its members over the past few weeks, Zoopla Property Group is now operating as a single entity. The company views, having combined the best features and services from each of its websites onto one platform, places Zoopla Property Group in an unrivalled position in the UK online property market in terms of audience size.

The property portal believes that, agents will benefit from the integration of these platforms in a variety of ways, including being able to upload to a single platform and enjoying more enquiries, exposure, features, investment and an increase in partnerships. In addition to over 30 million direct visits in September to its websites, Zoopla Property Group now exclusively powers a list of partner sites including The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, The Sun, Evening Standard, Homes & Property, Homes.24, Globrix, This is, AOL, MSN and many more.

The group recently announced new multi-million pound marketing campaigns for both its Zoopla.co.uk and PrimeLocation.com (taxi campaign) brands as it invests heavily in growing its market share and delivering even greater numbers of applicant, vendor and landlord enquiries to its members.

Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla Property Group said, “Following our merger at the beginning of the summer, we have been working very hard to consolidate all of our brands and partnerships onto a single technology platform in order to deliver the benefits to our users and members. We have taken the best-in-class features and tools we offer to our users and members and combined these in order to ensure that we are the most useful online resource for property consumers and most effective marketing partner for property advertisers in the UK.”

They may have merged but its caused absolute chaos for us. They’ve deleted all our sales and letting properties and are currently displaying properties from 2010. Lots of other agents in the same situation. I’ve been on hold for ages, had no reply from emails and account managers don’t know whats going on. We are losing business and enquiries.
