Domain has announced the launch of Domain Chinese, a property magazine especially aimed for the Sydney Chinese community. The new publication features listings, editorial content, statistics and tools for the Chinese speaking property investor.

Real estate agents will be able to market their properties to Chinese homebuyers via the free print magazine, and as of next year they will be able to list their properties on the Domain Chinese online presence as well, which is currently being developed with a similar look and feel to that of Domain.com.au.

Domain Chinese intends on publishing quarterly property awards to recognise the best examples of real estate marketing targeting the Sydney Chinese community, and host an annual awards program.

Matt Siddons, Marketing Director, Real Estate, Fairfax Marketplaces, said: ”Domain Chinese is an important addition to Domain’s suite of print, web and mobile products. The ability to directly target Sydney’s Chinese community is an exciting prospect for many of our real estate agent and vendor clients.”

Property portals around the globe are tapping into the Asian market, especially Chinese. Vancouver-based REW.ca recently announced the launch of its Chinese language property magazine as well, a move applauded by Chinese business and cultural leaders, who believe the publication helps new immigrants as well as property investors looking to buy a home in Canada, quicker and more efficiently.

Australia’s LJ Hooker announced its partnership with Hong Kong-based Juwai, one of the world’s largest international property search and information platforms for Mandarin-speaking Chinese consumers, back in July, in hopes to market their properties to Chinese investors.
