Launched in 2009 by the team behind Thehomepage.com.au, MillionPlus.com.au, a next-generation property portal which only lists residential properties worth over $1 million Australian dollars, has just received a facelift and a relaunch.
The folks at MillionPlus.com.au said that, since the website was initially designed to appeal to those in the market for luxury homes, so it seemed logical that those looking for high-end property would surely want to search for it on a better-looking website. The company also believed that the same consumers would prefer to search for these properties on a user-friendly site, which is why the tried-and-tested new MillionPlus.com.au is now easier to browse than ever before.

The new MillionPlus.com.au website has a redesigned logo, it’s more elegant than its previous incarnation, it has improved features and cloud based technology.
New features include:
- Pinterest-style expanding layout
- Specialised mobile site
- Suggested keyword searches (Eg: jetty)
Million dollar properties growing
According to the property data website Pricefinder.com.au, in 2009, over 600,000 residential sales were made in Australia, and 4% of these were over $1million. Year to date in 2012, that figure is over 4.7%. MillionPlus.com.au looks forward to having more properties and a greater variety of luxury homes than ever before.
When MillionPlus.com.au and Thehomepage.com.au were founded, it was to allow real estate agents to take advantage of the web for free. The companies saw the shift of advertising away from print media and towards the Internet as potentially a great boon for real estate agencies, considering the lower cost of listing properties online. This is a revolution that is still going on, with CEASA recently announcing that online advertising by Australian businesses has overtaken print advertising for the first time. By letting them list for free, Thehomepage.com.au and MillionPlus.com.au allow agencies to maximise the benefit from this cultural sea change.
With the new MillionPlus.com.au, however, the company wanted the site to feel like the best of both worlds; they believe the site now has the ease and accessibility of online media, but with the feel of flicking through a luxury property magazine. That’s why the new MillionPlus.com.au uses larger images, and has been optimised to be seen on bigger screens. Featured listings are now bigger, giving featured properties a better chance of being seen.

Nice site, but the background images are so blurred for me on 1920×1080 resolution. I assume someone looking for million dollar + properties must have a big monitor…
I want to get more knowledge about this Million plus company . I think it will increase my knowledge about real estate market.
