The question, “Do they have an app for that?” should not be even uttered anymore. New apps are popping up every second, and there’s one for literally everything and anything… and if not, it’s sure to come out next week.
In the U.S. alone, people take more than 1 billion trips daily, and they are late 100 million times every single day. If you are part of this statistic or if you “have a friend” who has been late for an appointment, meeting, date, etc. “they’ll” love the new iPhone app called Twist.
Twist taps into the user’s iPhone’s GPS functionality and combines it with live traffic data, and with this information the app can pinpoint where the user is at that moment and determine how long it will take them to reach their destination.
Twist can be used while driving, on public transport or even walking; it accurately calculates the user’s arrival time to a specified destination and privately shares their ETA with only those that they choose.
The app alerts the individual waiting at the meet-up location when the user is almost there and if they are running late, it even sends followup alerts if their time of arrival has changed, and it will text them as the user is pulling into the location/destination.
Another great things about Twist is that the person who is waiting at the destination and receiving the text messages from the user, does not have to download or have the Twist app on their phone. In order to receive the alert text messages, the other person only needs to have a phone capable of receiving text messages.
