Rentec Direct, providing property management solutions for managing properties, tenants, and owners, has announced the launch of advanced new communication tools available to all new and existing subscribers. Rentec landlords can now communicate by email as well as bi-directional communication to any individual with a mobile number by using the SMS network.

According to reports, currently there are over 320 million mobile phones active in the United States, which exceeds the total population. This indicates mobile usage has permeated almost every age and ethnic group in the United States.

Sending and receiving SMS messages (aka text messages) through Rentec’s property management solution is a single click process and is integrated directly in the existing communication portal.

Rentec has accomplished this task by connecting to every popular SMS gateway used within the states. This allows Rentec subscribers to speak with tenants on any US based cellular carrier. If a cell number is issued anywhere in the United States, it is now accessible via the Rentec communication portal. Perhaps even more important than being able to communicate with a tenant is the ability to save that information in the event it becomes needed in the future. Rentec automatically saves all incoming and outgoing SMS messages right within the tenant’s history which is then permanently archived and available forever.

“We have consistently kept our subscribers ahead of the curve with the latest technology and services available. This certainly is no exception.”, says Nathan Miller, President of Rentec Direct. “The younger crowd doesn’t use email to communicate, it’s all by text message. Landlords relying exclusively on email to communicate are missing half of the population. It only makes sense that we make this widely used communication method available for all our subscribers. We do that today!”

In February of this year Rentec Direct, rolled out an update to their already popular rental software which introduces the capability of sharing and encrypting any type of files with owners and tenants via the owner and tenant portals.
