Denver-based RE/MAX, recognized as one of the leading real estate franchise companies in the world, has sold franchise rights for China including the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau, raising its overall country count to more than 85.
RE/MAX President Vinnie Tracey said that the company “had been looking for the right leadership team to match the outstanding caliber of our other international franchise owners and we now have that team.”
The new RE/MAX China ownership group is based in Hong Kong and has extensive experience in real estate, banking, financing and franchising. They are perfectly positioned to aggressively grow the RE/MAX organization throughout the country of roughly 1.3 billion people.
The company launched global.remax.com last October. The site now features nearly 650,000 property listings in 31 languages and 30 currencies. In 10 months, the site has gained in popularity, attracting more than 1.3 million unique visitors; 25% have been from China.
The new Chinese franchise owners recently visited RE/MAX headquarters in Denver and were recognized during a formal flag raising ceremony. They expressed a desire to expose Chinese consumers to RE/MAX because of the value of the brand and the professionalism it represents.
“The people of China have a dream of home ownership, and our goal is to help them reach their dream with the highest quality customer service. If we do this, we can become the #1 real estate franchise in China.”
The RE/MAX Global Franchise and Business Solutions team will spend the next several months training the new owners on the RE/MAX system, while helping them establish their new Beijing operational headquarters. The group plans to officially open the first RE/MAX offices in China in the first quarter of 2013.
