Canada has a new property portal, Propazilla.com. Armed with a group of experienced web developers, entrepreneurs, real estate investors and enthusiasts, the portal was established in May, 2012, and officially launched in beta last week. The portal already has over 200 listings and over 100 agents, with its loyal following growing each day.
Propazilla is free to use, and it allows real estate professionals, for sale by owners, and landlords to showcase their listings online.
The overall look and feel of the Propazilla website is streamline and clutter-free. Once a property is selected, its details are clear, the images associated to the listing are large, and a Google map is immediately provided for a location point of reference. All pertinent information is found at a glance, and nothing is hidden or difficult to find.
A nice feature about Propazilla.com is that, the site enables consumers to link an agent to their account upon signup, or anytime for that matter, and from then on all their questions and showing requests can be done with one click, freeing them from having to fill out a selling agent’s cumbersome form each time he/she is interested in a property. If however, a user already has an agent, they can inform Propazilla and the company will link the agent up to their Propazilla account.
Whether a user is listing a property privately or through an agent, Propazilla can help them with this process. They will display the user’s listing on their website, free of charge. If the customer would like to have their listing appear as a featured listing, they can add their agent to their Propazilla profile. If both the user and their agent have signed up, Propazilla will feature their property for free until it sells.
Co-founder Sawyer Bateman said: “We have experienced an early success with agents, especially in Western Canada, and this is mainly due to our first class Kijiji integration – cross posting to Canada’s largest classified site can be done with one click – no uploading, no typing, no pasting. To our knowledge, no one has been able to do this yet, in Canada, and it means that every agent who wants that free exposure is going to be adding their listings to Propazilla first.”
The company’s goal is to become the best place to view property online in Canada, and along the way building web tools and features that strengthen and enhance the agent-client relationship, making the entire process of buying real estate much easier for everyone.
