Homegate.ch has had an Android application on the market since January 2010. Initially developed by Google, the Android operating system is now available on dozens of mobile phones from various manufacturers.
The Swiss property portal has incorporated all the functions which have made their iPhone app so popular, into the revised Android app.
Searching for properties? Users can find interesting properties within just a few clicks, and with GPS included in the search capability, it makes house hunting in a new region even easier.
Users are able to recommend properties to their friends via e-mail, and with just the push of a button potential buyers can place a call to people who posted the listings in order to set up viewing appointments.
The Android app can be used in either English, German, French or Italian. The project was implemented in conjunction with the Zurich-based company youngculture AG.

The homegate.ch for the iPhone, is free of charge and it offers access to 50,000 adverts. Using GPS, the app allows a search for real estate in the user’s immediate vicinity.
