Cincinnati-based dotloop announced that yahoo! veteran Garrin Wong has joined the team as VP of engineering. Wong brings extensive product management and leadership experience to the company and will be instrumental in growing its engineering and product teams.
Wong served as Director of Product Management for Yahoo!‘s mobile and personalization division, where he also led engineering operations for the company’s 700-person media technology division, a role in which he expanded Yahoo!’s development centers around the world. Wong also integrated several startups, including Flickr and Citizen Sports and supported several of Yahoo!’s core media and search products.
Prior to Yahoo!, Wong worked at PayPal where he led its integration with eBay, resulting in more than $2 billion in monthly transactions through the site.
Wong joins the team during a period of growth and momentum. dotloop has added more than 150,000 new clients in 2012 and is now serving more than 6.5 million buyers and sellers. The company has also announced its relationships with industry giants RE/MAX and Trulia and hired 15 new Loopers during the past two months, bringing its total headcount to 60. The company stated it has plans to hire another 15 during the next 60 days across its Cincinnati and San Francisco locations.
