Last month, Spain’s idealista.com, caught people’s attention with its racy publicity campaign, Pilladas, which set the social media networks on fire and managed to get censored by local television stations.
This month, the Spanish property portal has rolled out a new app, sure to tickle the taste buds of a different kind, the interior decor and architecture design ones.
Deco, is an app developed entirely in-house by idealista for the iPhone and iPad. The app allows users to explore real estate photos advertised on idealista, along with pictures of the most spectacular and impressive homes and hotels around the world, especially selected by the idealista team.
Idealista said on their blog, that the reason behind creating the Deco app was because: “We all love to pry and get inspiration from our neighbours’ homes, daydream and contemplate wonder homes we might own someday, and simply look for decorating ideas.” The company promises that their app will enlighten users far more than any decorating magazine ever might.
Users choose different criteria, ie: living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, celebrity homes, houses selected by idealista, etc. and begin exploring. The gallery of images available for perusing is bursting at the seams, and the photos are large, visually appealing and easily shared with friends via email or social media (Twitter and Facebook).
When decor inspiration is needed at a moment’s notice – at the paint store, fabric shop, or anywhere else – an app such as idealista’s Deco, can prove to be priceless… isn’t it great that it’s free?
