s1homes.com, one of the Top 10 UK Portals, has announced that it has severed off ties with Citylets, who had been acting on s1homes’ behalf as its agent to the rental market in Scotland.
Until recently, Citylets was the exclusive representative of s1homes throughout Scotland however, following a business review s1homes made the decision to bring the business in-house.
The news follows a redesign of the s1homes site earlier this year, which the company claims that it has made the process of property searching even simpler and more user-friendly for both agents and home seekers in Scotland.
s1homes’ Managing Director, Mark Smith said: “Operating with an agent has worked well for us for a number of years but we believe we can now offer our rental agency clients improved service and better value by dealing directly with them.
“It’s an exciting time for us, our new site has been delivering record traffic and response levels. We are ambitious and want to continue our growth and this move will help us achieve that goal,” concluded Smith.
s1homes also operates websites in the recruitment (s1jobs), entertainment listings (s1play), automotive (s1cars) and dating (s1date) markets. It’s part of The Herald & Times Group which is owned by Newsquest Media Group, the UK’s second largest regional publisher.
