Elaborating further, he added that to ensure that Rumah123.com was successfully positioned as the top-of-mind brand when it came to searching for properties, the contest mechanics were made as simple as possible.

“Aside from making the mechanics of the contest simple, we wanted the prize to be attractive enough that it would change at least one person’s life forever. Based on search data on our site, it was revealed that the BSD area in Tangerang, Jakarta was consistently ranked as one of the top 2 most searched areas on the site, hence why, the house that we are giving away is also situated in that area,” added Di Gregorio.

Elaborating on the mechanics of the “Rebutan Rumah Gratis” campaign, Di Gregorio added that the campaign is open to any Indonesian citizen from the age of 17 onwards and is as easy as 1-2-3. With three simple steps:

1st Step – “Like” the Rumah123.com Facebook fan page, or “Follow” Twitter @rumah123.

2nd Step - Enter personal details.

3rd Step – Find the house that we are giving away on http://www.rumah123.com and enter the ID of the listing.

He added that the campaign will run in two phases. In the first phase, which will run from 1st May 2012 till 31st July 2012, each participant will be required to complete the 3 simple steps to receive a registration number. After which, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Notary, and the Indonesian Police, a total of 123 finalists will be chosen to participate in the second phase of the “Rebutan Rumah Gratis” campaign.

In the second phase, which will run from 6th to 24th August 2012, the 123 finalists will be asked to participate in a creative challenge, which will involve online votes from the general public. A judging panel will then select the grand prize winner of the free house in BSD, Tangerang, Banten.

He added that the winners will be revealed during the grand final event on 15th September 2012.

“We are looking forward to seeing who will emerge the winner and urge all Indonesians who have yet to participate in the campaign to do so soon. The response received has been overwhelming and I firmly believe that since we acquired the portal in 2011, we have successfully set the benchmark and established ourselves as the clear leader in the industry. Our priority and focus for the next two quarters of 2012 is to accelerate our growth in Indonesia.” concluded Di Gregorio.
