RoomSync, the company which developed the Facebook app allowing students to choose their own roommates via the social network platform, has announced a change to their leadership team.
Rob Castellucci has been promoted to the role of President and CEO of RoomSync. The company stated that Rob will be responsible for driving RoomSync to the next level, building on the solid foundation and momentum achieved by the RoomSync team to date.
Michael Hacker, will step down from the President role and continue to be involved with the company as VP of Operations moving forward.
Hacker stated: “I would like to thank the entire RoomSync team for their significant contributions to help empower roommate choice at more than 80 client locations. Thank you for your continued support as we charge ahead to build a business focused on empowering roommate choice.”
“Rob is an accomplished leader, with a track record of working with high-growth software companies. He brings a great mix of leadership, inspiration, operational experience, technical breadth, and passion for customer care. He is one of our original founders and has served as the VP of Marketing for the past three years,” concluded Hacker.
Rob Castellucci is part of the co-founding team of RoomSync. Before RoomSync, Rob was an Associate at Synogen, a seed-stage venture fund that invests in and commercializes life-saving medical technologies. Castellucci holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Marketing and Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.organization that he co-founded. He graduated with a Marketing degree and Masters degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.
