Believing that UK estate agents are being overcharged by the dominant online agencies, former estate agents Scott Green and Anthony Lerner decided to launch their own property portal, NeedaProperty.com.

The new company promised a more personalised service to both estate agents and customers, and goals of opening up online property sales to new markets.

Green and Lerner, now CEO and Sales Director of NeedaProperty.com, recognised that, estate agents are overall satisfied with the amount of business the major property portals bring their way, but they are also aware that the same agents are not happy with the overwhelming fees they have to pay to them. Since the market is controlled by just a few players, the estate agents have scarce options to advertise online.

NeedaProperty views itself as the new viable alternative for agents who are looking elsewhere to advertise their listings. The company offers an introductory offer of six months free subscription, a chance to advertise on their sister site eastwestplc.com, where investors from China can peruse UK properties for sale, and a sales training arm, which is curretnly in development.

Up to date listings are being added every day by over 3,000+ estate agents onto NeedaProperty, and the company offers online support 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, as well as in-depth house price data, and a full suite of financial services.

NeedaProperty also provides those home hunters who are looking to live abroad, international agents advertising their properties outside of the UK.

Lerner said: “The real proof will be when the trial period ends, but all the signs so far have been encouraging.”
