MagicBricks.com has been successfully assisting its users in the house searching and eventual buying process for years, now the company has ventured into the home decorating realm as well.
Recognising that people can be faced with the overwhelming challenge of decorating their newly purchased and often stark-looking new property, MagicBricks has launched Decor.MagicBricks.com, to provide an easy solution and to reduce the anxiety which an owner may feel when they are suddenly faced with the ‘blank canvas’ of their new home.
MagicBricks ‘Décor’ is intended to be a one-stop-shop, where a home owner can find all the products and services they need to embellish their dream home. Shoppers can choose from an extensive range of products and services including moving, furnishings, interior design, renovation, security, Vastu and more.
Sudhir Pai, Business Head, MagicBricks.com said, “We’ve been hugely successful in helping millions of users find homes. Happy with our services, our users have been clamouring us to go beyond property search and help them with adjacent services which help them in doing up their homes as well as assisting them to identify various home services. Décor as a section has been launched with this in mind”.
MagicBricks’ ‘Décor’ offers information on the latest technology, trends and styles with in-depth news, reports, views and expert insights available for perusal by visitors to the section, as well as a vast array of products and services from leading suppliers and manufacturers.
‘Décor’ also runs an innovative online program called ‘TrendSpeak’ where Subject Experts participate in a live session on Trends and Needs, providing the new home owner with free advice and answers to questions live in real-time.
New property owners are able to sit back and relax, because they have all the information they need to transform their new house into a home, under one convenient umbrella, Decor.MagicBricks.com.

This is interesting and it is left to be seen if property portals succeed with adjacent services. There are very few examples of this having succeeded anywhere in the world. But Magicbricks has been showng high initiative and risk taking appetite with numerous launches in recent quarters.
Will be good to see review of progress through your website after a couple of quarters,
Mayank, I think REA in Australia, iProperty as well as Sulekha have similar offerings and I think it does well. Given the massive reach of Magicbricks, it will be interesting to see if they are able to make their users use this new section.
