Nigeria Property Centre, with a vision to make the search for property to let and for sale in Nigeria, easy and quick, launched its property portal website a year ago. Within two months of its existence, the portal’s management proclaimed that it was already ahead of some of the country’s older players.

“We decided to launch a property website because we had a look at property portals in Nigeria and found that they were scanty in terms of the number of property listed and site visitors,” nigeriapropertycentre.com stated, adding that the portal is operating on a free-to-list model because few Nigerian real estate agents are convinced of the value of online marketing.

In July of last year Nigeria Property Centre launched its mobile website. “This launch has come about as a result of the high traffic to our website from mobile devices,” the portal stated.

In October, the portal reached 1,000 property listings. In February of this year they launched a Facebook property search feature. As of last month the site reached 2,000 property listings, and they introduced free business websites for estate agents in Nigeria.

“Over the past year we have worked hard to improve the process of searching for property in Nigeria which involves bridging the gap between property seekers and estate agents/property owners. We have worked closely with estate agents and property owners and are delighted at our progress so far. In the next couple of months, we will be releasing new features on Nigeria Property Centre that will help people in making decisions on property they wish to buy or rent,” said a representative of the company.

Congratulations on your first year Nigeria Property Centre of a great year, and many more to come.
