Zoopla.co.uk has announced that, in its first quarter of this year, the company has added nearly 1,200 new estate and letting agent branches to its website, bringing its total number of paying members to almost 12,000. Making this the largest quarterly increase in advertisers for the property portal since its launch four years ago. Zoopla now has 600,000 property listings available on its website.
Among some of the new agent groups to have joined Zoopla are: Beresfords (Essex), Dawsons (Wales), Farrell Heyworth (North West), Greenslade Newton Fallowell (East Midlands), Putterills (Hertfordshire) and Taylor Hunt (South West).
This recent increase is a combination of the growing shift from traditional printed media listings to online property advertising, Zoopla has the UK’s second-largest online property audience.

Last week The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) gave its approval for the proposed merger between Digital Property Group Ltd and Zoopla Ltd to go forward. The transaction is expected to complete within the next few weeks.
