Even though we live in a time when information laden websites are the norm, it is interesting to see that the traditional design and format of a magazine is still quite popular and even at times preferred by readers of editorial content.
Some may argue that a digital magazine may feel unnatural unless the reader can manipulate it with a touch-enabled device in an intuitive manner: flipping pages, pinching and zooming.
The UK’s What House? property portal which specialises in listing new homes for sale and to let, has just launched its new free monthly digital magazine containing news, articles and new homes listings for every region of Britain. The magazine is quite user-friendly, with a look and feel of a printed digest, an animated virtual page flipping sound, easily read on a desktop or an iPad, though not sure it can also be displayed on a Kindle reader.
“We think the new magazine is a great new resource for homebuyers,” says whathouse.co.uk features editor, Keith Osborne. “The digital magazine covers new homes in England, Scotland and Wales and combines some of the best articles and news stories from our website with a comprehensive selection of new apartments and houses for sale right now.”
