Following on from the launch of its BBC Worldwide property search app in July, zoopla.co.uk has added heatmaps showing the average current value of homes across the UK to its website.
The new heatmaps can be found on all maps across zoopla.co.uk and may be viewed at varying zoom levels include down to individual postcodes.
In addition to the new heatmaps, zoopla.co.uk has also added new statistics to its market overview pages, including the number of properties on the market, average asking prices, the average size of properties in an area and the average price per square foot.
“The addition of heatmaps to our site allows users to easily visualise the relative property values in any area of the country,” said Alex Chesterman, zoopla.co.uk founder and CEO. “Together with the unique market data we are now making available, this is all part of our mission to empower users with the information they need to make the right property decisions and to become the most useful property resource in the UK.”
zoopla.co.uk began powering the property search feature on aol.co.uk in June, and launched its spring ad campaign at the end of April. comScore figures for May put it in third place in the UK market with 3.4 million unique visitors, behind findaproperty.com’s 3.6 million and rightmove.co.uk’s 6.6 million.
