Market Leader has followed up its partnership with Weichert with two announcements this week: its acquisition of SharperAgent and the release of “Market Insider.”
The US-based real estate marketing software provider says its acquisition of the Denver-based SharperAgent – which provides online and print marketing suites to more than 30,000 real estate agent users – represents the next step in its efforts to create a comprehensive and integrated software platform for real estate professionals.
Market Leader did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition, but said the two companies will immediately begin working together to provide integrated solutions for franchise organisations and brokerage companies.
“We are responding to a clear and growing demand from leading brokerage firms and franchises for a single integrated, best-in-class solution that meets all of their technology and marketing needs,” said Ian Morris, Market Leader’s CEO. “SharperAgent is recognised as the leader in providing world-class customised marketing solutions, and we are eager to combine the strengths of our two companies to better serve our collective customers and the entire real estate professional community.”
On the day before this acquisition was announced, Market Leader launched its new Market Insider tool, which it says engages home buyers and sellers with customised, up-to-date reports of home sales, trends, demographics and side-by-side statistics on their favourite neighbourhoods.
“Market Insider enables our customers to position themselves as the neighbourhood expert and generate more traffic and leads from their website, while also engaging their prospects and clients with a steady stream of rich local information,” Morris explains. “We are continually investing in creating a comprehensive and integrated software platform for real estate professionals, and feedback from early users of Market Insider tells us this product is a winner.”
