UK market leader rightmove.co.uk has added new development microsites to its revamped new homes section in a move it says will help agents who market new build developments.
These microsites allow agents to provide detailed information about each development they are marketing, as well as the properties themselves, including local area amenities, lifestyle information, development opening times, and alternative plots available. An “advanced” development microsite is also available with added features including the ability to add unlimited development imagery, the development’s industry affiliations, and offer and incentive stickers.
“Many of rightmove.co.uk’s member agents handle new build developments and this new service offers them a great way to market their developers’ sites,” says rightmove.co.uk director Miles Shipside.
“The redesign of our New Homes section has already been a great success, providing new build home-hunters with even more information than ever before about the developments they are interested in as well as the ability to easily navigate between different plots on that site,” adds rightmove.co.uk’s head of new homes Alex Solomon. “We’ve applied the same principles here in creating a new way for estate agents to promote their new build developments and properties on the rightmove.co.uk site.”
Earlier this month, rightmove.co.uk reported that its market share stands at 82 percent. Recent Nielsen figures show rightmove.co.uk saw an 8.6 percent rise in unique visitors in the 12 months to March 2011, reaching a monthly total of 3,464,000.
