US apartments portal apartments.com has ceased its listing distribution partnership with the Oodle classifieds network after Oodle signed an exclusive listings deal with forrent.com.
Oodle announced this partnership with forrent.com last month, allowing forrent.com’s advertisers to list their properties on Oodle’s Facebook Marketplace and its partner network of classifieds websites.
“Oodle’s vast community of users will also increase forrent.com’s advertisers’ reach, generating new avenues to connect with even more renters,” said Brock MacLean, senior vice president of national sales and development at forrent.com in announcing the deal.
apartments.com still lists Oodle among its distribution partners, along with Google Base, which is scheduled to be decommissioned on 1 June this year. apartments.com has not yet commented on whether another distribution partner will be found to replace Oodle.
