We’ve heard little of Indian property portal magicbricks.com since it launched the country’s first property phone line over a year ago. But during the past month, magicbricks.com says it has released a number of upgrades aimed at enhancing user experience.
The first is a new property rates and trends section, which shows data for sale and rental properties in 15 Indian cities. magicbricks.com says this data is refreshed every quarter.
Alongside this, the portal has upgraded its search to include listings from nearby locations, and launched a question and answer section to answer queries from home hunters.
Finally, magicbricks.com says it has been working on its user interface, making improvements such as highlighting its “post your requirements” form to increase buyer leads, and streamlining listing information.
magicbricks.com claims to be “India’s number one property website,” however the same claim has been made by indiaproperty.com and 99acres.com. Data from compete.com has 99acres.com in first place, followed by magicbricks.com, with indiaproperty.com in third.
magicbricks.com offers a free listing option, however most of its listings are sold through subscription packages. The portal declined to comment on its revenue.
