realtor.com parent company Move, Inc. will start powering AOL Real Estate’s homes for sale search in the second half of this year.

Move says the partnership will add property listings, neighbourhood and school content, and connections to real estate experts to AOL Real Estate. Move adds that it will use the ListHub network it acquired in September 2010 to syndicate “millions” of listings to AOL.

This new partnership is similar to the deal zillow.com and realestate.yahoo.com struck in July last year to offer a single channel to advertise on both sites. Move says it will soon start coordinating ad sales to agents, brokers, and other advertisers.

Move’s realtor.com has been battling realestate.yahoo.com for the top spot on the Hitwise list of US real estate websites since August 2010. realestate.yahoo.com is on top of the most recent list, followed by realtor.com and zillow.com. realestate.aol.com last appeared on the top 20 list in October, when it was in 12th place.

“AOL will be doubling down on our strategy in 2011,” said Tim Armstrong, AOL’s chairman and CEO. “As part of that effort, we will be partnering with companies in areas that add strength to the consumer experience and drive profitability for AOL.”

The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the agreement.
