Following on from reports of record traffic from zillow.com and homes.com, four more portals are claiming new highs for their audience figures.
In the UK, market leader rightmove.co.uk says its iPhone app has now passed the 1 million downloads mark. The app was first released in August 2009, and rightmove.co.uk says it now delivers an average of over 1,000 leads to agents each day.
rightmove.co.uk adds that its mobile devices, which include a mobile website and iPad app, account for over 5 percent of all pages viewed at the portal. The iPad app has been available since May 2009 and has been downloaded over 1,000 times since then.
rightmove.co.uk competitor zoopla.co.uk is also reporting record traffic for the first four days of 2011, recording an average rate of over 180 unique searches per minute for a total of over 1 million searches during the period. The portal says this is an increase of 102 percent compared to the same time last year, and coincides with the launch of its latest TV advertising campaign.
zoopla.co.uk adds that enquiry levels are up by 251 percent and vendor appraisal leads are up by 258 percent compared to the same period last year, which equates to over 10 leads per minute during 24 hours. On 3 January, the portal recorded 2.9 million page impressions, topping its previous record of 2.1 million in September 2010.
Meanwhile, global real estate portal mondinion.com says Google Analytics figures show it has had over 10,000 unique visitors since the start of 2011, and that it saw 221,793 unique users during December.
mondinion.com, which was launched a little over two years ago, passed the milestone of 50,000 active listings in October 2010. The portal now says that total has risen to 54,000.
Finally, number four US real estate website trulia.com says it closed 2010 as the fastest-growing in its category. The website says Hitwise figures for the year have its market share up 70 percent, which means it “gained the most market share of all leading national real estate sites” in the US.
“During 2010, more than 89 million unique visitors accounted for more than 570 million property views,” trulia.com says, referring to internal data from Omniture. “Mobile searches grew by approximately 400 percent and now account for more than 10 percent of overall traffic and more than 15 percent of weekend traffic.”
The website adds that its leads have more then doubled in the past year, but does not name an exact total for the increase.
