Multilingual property portal frenchpropertyshop.com has launched a new website for the UK market at propertyjunction.com.
propertyjunction.com allows buyers to search its listings in 14 languages and four currencies. The portal says it is catering to a growing market niche, with Office of National Statistics figures showing that 11 percent of the UK population and one in three people living in London were born abroad.
Creator David Todd explains that frenchpropertyshop.com was launched in late 2009, and that propertyjunction.com was first trialled in the UK a few months ago.
Todd says that as a result of the trial, propertyjunction.com’s business model was revised to offer agents the choice of commission share, pay-per-lead and subscription-based payment options. Agents who choose the commission share option pay 10 percent of the total sales commission for buyers or 15 percent of the total letting for tenants once they have found a buyer or tenant.
“This is a unique global portal with true international reach,” says Todd. “No other property portal is able to offer this service and as market conditions continue to remain flat, estate agents need to exploit growth markets to their full potential.”
“propertyjunction.com is also a great ‘instruction getter’ as estate agents will be able to offer the broadest possible marketing reach to their potential clients,” Todd adds.
At the moment, propertyjunction.com claims it is listing 19,698 UK properties for sale. The website says its 14 languages work off a multilingual database created through human translation of hundreds of property terms and expressions.
