UK market leader rightmove.co.uk has launched a new section aimed at the student lettings market: Rightmove Students.
Rightmove Students offers users a location-based search with the option to filter results by bedrooms and price. rightmove.co.uk says initial marketing for the section will focus on three major university cities – Sheffield, Birmingham and Southampton – before the project is rolled out across the country over the next 12 months.
The portal explains that existing member agents are able sign up for Rightmove Students and list their student lettings stock for free. rightmove.co.uk adds that it has been receiving over 25,000 searches for student properties every month via a standard filter on its main search results page.
“Rightmove Students offers a way for lettings agents to specifically target the student market and we have already had a great response from agents who have been quick to sign up to this new venture,” says rightmove.co.uk director Miles Shipside. “We hope to help simplify the searching process by bringing students and lettings agents together on-line in one easy place.”
