The latest real estate sector report from UK consulting firm Greenlight has found that rightmove.co.uk is the most active property portal on social media.
Greenlight released its first report on UK real estate websites in May, ranking primelocation.com as the most visible property website in a natural search, and zoopla.co.uk the most visible advertiser in terms of paid search.
In its latest report, Greenlight has monitored the number of Facebook posts and Twitter tweets published by UK property portals. rightmove.co.uk was the most prolific with 174 Facebook posts and 215 tweets.
zoopla.co.uk followed with 31 Facebook posts and 115 tweets, while primelocation.com was third with 12 Facebook posts and 19 tweets.
Along with social media presence, Greenlight again ranked portals in terms of visibility in natural and paid search. This time rightmove.co.uk was found to be the most visible in a natural search, while zoopla.co.uk was still most visible in terms of paid search.
Greenlight explains that “natural search” refers to listings in search engine results pages that appear because of their relevance to the search terms, while “paid search” refers to pay-per-click advertising.
