More than 2 million people are now using one of zillow.com’s applications for iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows Mobile.
The top three US real estate website says these home hunters viewed homes via the apps more than 12 million times in July. zillow.com reported a July traffic record of 11.7 million unique visitors a few weeks ago.
“Of our total traffic on weekends, Zillow Mobile accounts for 15-20 percent of it – and it’s growing,” writes Jeremy Wacksman, zillow.com’s director of marketing.
Wacksman adds that zillow.com is now looking for a mobile app developer, suggesting there are more mobile offerings in the works. The website’s jobs page also lists positions for a senior business intelligence developer/architect and a software development engineer for the mortgages side of the business.

As time goes on and the newer generations are buying homes I think companies like Zillow will continue to grow. The Internet is taking a bigger part in real estate more then ever.
