homeaway.com, a US-based holiday rentals portal, has signed a deal that will see Realogy’s brands add their for sale listings to the website.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, however it means listings from brands including Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA Real Estate and Sotheby’s International Realty will be added to homeaway.com.
As part of the deal, Realogy agents are being encouraged to sign up to homeaway.com to add details such as rental history, average rental rates and vacation-specific characteristics to their listings.
homeaway.com vice president Martin Slagter said the deal “provides Realogy’s brand networks of real estate professionals with a specialised marketing channel to reach millions of homeaway.com customers who are interested in buying beachside cottages, ski-in chalets, mountain lodges and other vacation properties.”
These properties will be added to the HomeAway Real Estate marketplace, which homeaway.com launched in April.
homeaway.com says it represents over 480,000 paid vacation rental home listings throughout 120 countries. The company’s portfolio includes holiday rental websites in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Brazil as well as the US.
