Skim any technology news website at the moment and you will be inundated with news of Apple’s newly-launched tablet computer, the iPad. The sales figures for the much-anticipated gadget are already impressive: 300,000 on the first day of sales.
Two US-based real estate websites are already taking advantage of the hype: zillow.com and ziprealty.com.
zillow.com’s iPad application promises a “bold real estate browsing experience”, letting users navigate and bookmark the website’s listings via the touch screen. This video shows the app in action:
ziprealty.com’s iPad app will offer all the features of the online brokerage’s home search application for iPhone.
“The initial iPad version of our popular mobile application takes advantage of the device’s sharp visuals and touchscreen technology to present home listings and property details in a format that we think users will love,” said ziprealty.com president and CEO Patrick Lashinsky.
Both zillow.com and ziprealty.com released Android applications in March.
