Number two Dutch property portal jaap.nl has just set its redesigned website live, capping off a busy few months.
As jaap.nl explains, the redesign does not offer any new functionality, but focuses in improved usability.
The redesign follows on from the release of an upgrade to jaap.nl’s iPhone app, which now offers features such as Google Maps integration, the option to search by street and city name, and highlighted agency contact details.
In February, jaap.nl added another option for its users: the ability to chat about listings via an MSN Messenger link embedded in property detail pages. This came just a few weeks after the portal added in new filters to help users find the right property.
At the start of 2010, jaap.nl joined forces with number three player huizenzoeker.nl in a listing distribution partnership.
Will all these changes have an impact on jaap.nl’s position in the market, denting funda.nl’s lead? As always, propertyportalwatch.com will track any changes throughout the year.
