UK property portal zoopla.co.uk has completed its integration with propertyfinder.com, hotproperty.co.uk and thinkproperty.com, and says it can now offer new services to users and a bigger audience for agent members.
zoopla.co.uk’s integration with propertyfinder.com and the other website’s in the Zoopla Ltd portfolio was announced last month. At the time, Zoopla said there would be “significantly increased” marketing investment in the zoopla.co.uk brand.
A zoopla.co.uk blog post says agents using the new “mega-portal” can now upload to a single platform to expose their listings to websites “powered by” zoopla.co.uk including MSN, Yahoo!, Virgin and Guardian.
Property seekers will also have access to a broader range of features including overseas property listings, a flat share service and email alerts.
Alex Chesterman, Zoopla’s CEO, explained the integration of the websites:
“Following our acquisitions over the summer, it was important for us to consolidate onto a single brand and technology platform as quickly as possible in order to deliver the benefits to our users.
We have taken the best-in-class features of all of our websites and combined these to deliver on our goal of offering consumers the UK’s best property market resource and our agent members the most efficient source of applicant leads, appraisal leads, exposure and tools to help them win more business.”

reminds me of the film where propertyfinder stared in Ground Hog Day ……. just want to remind folks I dont take drugs and it’s very surreal….
As a large agent here in Turkey who subscribed to Propertyfinder/Hotproperty we are very unhappy about the way this merger has affected us. We subscribed in July and where not visible till well into the late part of August due to technical difficulties with Propertyfinders up loading tool. We where promised some kind of compensation for this delay as we had subscribed for 3 months. We had zero leads or enquiries of any sort and now we are not visible on Zoopla. True the 3 months is now finished however we have tried to contact via email & via telephone and have no correspondence back. I was very hopeful about Zoopla and stuck with the choice of using them to promote our properties however now I have seen the search facilities which are basic down to just Turkey & no area search with 100′s to trawl through to see the area you maybe interested in and the interface it is far from impressive.
I agree also, social network sites are free they get advertising revenue form other streams utube face book subscription free
MS operating systems are being overtaken by free ones like Mozilla Firefox and Chrome
Also established portals get more UV’s yet they want to get their revenue from agents and developers. so third party and affiliation is the way forward no brainer
use what you have.free listing would increase stock on site
also customer services could handle the accounts by dropping sales dept saving could be diverted into innovation and marketing work.
sales dept salary cost is even keel to amount of revenue form the subscription and ppl revenue
unless a big rethink is taken by the big portals LISTING FREE there will be more closures.revenue for dividends will also fall…. and google will continue to grow its realestate section
tom

since propertyfinder.com merged it is clearly apparent how poor the whole transition really was.
poor company with poor staff and now an equally poor website.
