what does a credit ratings approved avm provider mean?
Snoop – Calnea sells automated valuations to mortgage lenders, and to do this lenders require the automated valuations are tested and approved by the leading credit ratings agencies, i.e. Standard & Poor, Fitch ratings etc. etc. Hope that helps.
yes i am interested in who the ratings agencies are that have approved them.
Mouseprice.com is massively inaccurate and should not be trusted! This month I notice my neighbours house is listed at £277,000 more than mine. Both houses were built at the same time in 2004 and are virtually identical. It is very frustrating not to be able to provide feedback to Mouseprice.com so that they can take action and make reasonable adjustments to house values.
Jim – the website was accurate to within £500 for me. I was very impressed. I guess it is just one of those things where there is bound to be exceptions. Are we talking about the same website? Did you not see the link entitled “feedback” right next to the valuation?
I have been waging a one sided war of attrition on mouseprice feedback on various house price websites in response to their nil response to an obvious £200.000 error in valuation of chez moi. They do not respond and I keep saying ‘very poor’ 1*!
Tom.
Tom Crye – I’ve been buying report from them for quite awhile. Whenever I was not happy with a result I simply asked for a refund and it was granted without any questions asked. Are you talking about a report you bought or their estimates? If it is the estimates there is a link to post your feedback right next to the valuation. Maybe it is something they added recently. Hope that helps!
